About Michelle Gross, LMHC-D

Founder of Kindred Space Mental Health Counseling

Hi, I’m Michelle Gross (she/her), and I’m a queer, white, cisgender woman, a Southerner turned Brooklynite, someone in long-term recovery, a survivor of childhood trauma, and a chronic blusher - something that’s taught me a lot about sensitivity, shame, and what it means to be seen. All of these parts of me deeply inform how I show up in therapy with humility, care, and a commitment to creating space where you can be fully yourself. You do not need to share my identities or experiences for us to work together.

I bring a down-to-earth, thoughtful, and sometimes playful energy to therapy. I believe healing is about recovering what's been hidden, silenced, or softened to survive, and it happens through real connection.

I aim to co-create a space with you where you feel  both deeply seen and supported in your growth. My practice is LGBTQIA+ affirming, culturally  humble, and politically aware.  I work from an anti-oppressive perspective and respect neurodivergence.

Michelle Gross, LMHC-D, founder and therapist at Kindred Space Mental Health Counseling PLLC.

I offer virtual sessions only, and can service clients in New York State. Please reach out for a free consultation if you would like to chat about working together.

How I hope to show up with you:

Warm, Curious, Involved, and Flexible

You can tell me when something doesn’t fit, ask a question, or let me know you need us to slow down.

Let’s get a sense
of each other.

A free, 15-minute conversation to ask questions, share a little about what brings you here, and see how it feels to talk. We’ll both consider whether working together seems like a good fit.
